Day 12: Drainage going in

img_3966

Went past the block this morning and saw a truck parked out front with a whole bunch of plumbing materials unloaded onto the nature strip.

We stopped the car and saw there were a couple of guys busily laying the underground storm water & sewer piping.

They had an excavator onsite that had been used to trench. One guy was working in the trench whilst the other was supplying him with piping parts.  I assume that the piled material in the foreground of the above photo was being used as the bedding for the pipes.

Pipes anyone?

Leading out to the kerb was the storm water drainage which crossed the nature strip ready to be connected to the gutter.

We returned after they had left and saw that they had made significant progress with the drains and vents.
